For the analysis of trace components, it is important to have a technology that effectively concentrates a dilute solution without contamination. Toray Advanced Technology Research Center has developed and used an auxiliary plate that concentrates a dilute solution into tiny spots for infrared measurement. In response to customer requests, we have started selling this plate. It can be used for residual evaluation after cleaning the surface of electronic parts, batch management of surface treatment agents, quality control, etc.

Pinpoint Concentration Plate Function

No complicated pretreatment is required. Concentrate the solution in a short time without contamination!

For 1μL of chloroform solution, the time required for concentration and spot formation is only about 10 seconds!

Infrared absorption spectrum measurement (microtransmission method) can be performed directly on the sample concentrated on the plate! By selecting the drop position, more than 10 spots can be formed on the plate.

If the spot can be thoroughly washed after measuring the infrared absorption spectrum, the same position can be reused! Mass spectrometry measurement (MALDI-MS) is also possible as another application.

Analytical application example

Ideal for quality control! After cleaning the surface of electronic parts, the residue is washed and collected with a solvent, and then concentrated on this plate for easy inspection. Batch management and quality control are performed by using solvent extraction, collection and concentration of surface treatment agents such as fibers, films and resin molding products. It can be used for efficient screening of preparation peaks detected by HPLC.
